Fun Fall Hairstyles

It’s officially fall, my favorite season. Even if it is fall, living in the south it usually takes a few weeks for the weather to catch up! It still gets pretty hot in the middle of the day and running around with kids means I can’t have my hair down yet. Thankfully there isn’t as much humidity though!
Here’s a few of my favorite hairstyles to help transition into fall.


Pasta Primavera with Turkey Sausage

Ingredients

  • Turkey Sausage
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 large zucchini
  • 2 yellow squash
  • ½ yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 chopped pepper
  • Parmesan and Mozz cheese
  • chicken broth
  • small pasta of your choice
  • salt and pepper to taste

 

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tbs olive oil in large saute pan
  2. Cook Turkey Sausage in oil (we like it when they are good and brown)
  3. While the turkey sausage is cooking, prepare pasta according to directions
  4. Take Sausage out and set aside (keeping warm)
  5. Add more oil and stir in zucchini, squash, onion, garlic and pepper and saute
  6. Add can of tomatoes and ¼ cup chicken broth to deglaze the pan
  7. Add Turkey sausage and heat through
  8. Serve over pasta with fresh bread

Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1lb boneless chicken breasts cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 3 tsp olive oil
  • 3 tbs honey
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • 1 package stir fry veggies (kroger)
  • 1 or 2 peppers chopped
  • hot cooked rice

 

Instructions

  1. Heat your skillet on med high heat. Add olive oil, only when your pan is hot. Then add the chicken. Don’t forget to start your rice
  2. Saute tip: Try not to move the chicken too much. Leaving it alone gives a nice color and adds flavor. Plus it will naturally {release} from the bottom of the pan when cooked! (if you are not using a nonstick pan)
  3. When its got a nice brown color add the soy sauce & honey and coat well
  4. Let chicken simmer for a couple minutes. I also add my salt, pepper, ginger & garlic at this time.
  5. While the Chicken is simmering, chop your pepper and any other veggie you want in your stir fry. We love kroger’s already mixed fresh stir fry veggies. (next to the salads) You could easily use frozen or chop your own
  6. Set chicken aside and toss veggies in remaining soy sauce & honey.  I usually add more of both at this point, but we like a lot sauce.  Let veggies cook until tender then add chicken again.
  7. Mix everything together until heated through and then sprinkle some cornstarch on just to thicken it up a bit.
  8. Serve over rice and enjoy your meal!
